Yes i often layer vocals , give the engineer more room to enhance the sound
and clean up any thing they might hear that i dont.

Layering vocals is essential imo. What can take some time is cleaning up all those vocals haha!

Gotta tame that sibilance and those mouth sounds! Oh, and get the mix just right.

Yes, we have started incorporating vocal samples and sometimes full vocals with lyrics into our music just in the last year or so. There's no denying that many listeners connect more deeply with a track that includes a more overt human element.
