When doors open for me, when I get answers to questions that I’ve had. New tasks as well, it means that I’m on the right track.

And yeah, sometimes my intuition gets it wrong, lol and I do need the data to confirm….

I feel growth when I am able to create the sounds I hear in my head into my songs. That could be a melody or certain production tricks/techniques. It has taken me years to hone my home recording skills and I see growth in identifying what sort of weird modulation effect or EQing will help achieve the sound I want.

Being able to take more control in my recordings and having more autonomy is growth to me!

Agreed, Chris - it's only after several years of learning and experimentation that I feel like I'm starting to bend the sound to my will as opposed to having to settle for "pretty close" to what I want. That's a big motivator for me.
