Privacy protections with Pandora

Does Pandora premium or Pandora provide privacy protections at all? From my understanding, 3rd party companies and researchers use Pandora's cookies and data for all sorts of sociological and marketing queries. So when we purchase premium does that protect against this?

Is there an advised selection of music for class, income, and ethnicity?
