Android: "Let Me Listen" button doesn't take over streaming

So I listen while at work and at the gym, sometimes I forget to pause the music at work so when I listen at the gym I get the message that only one device can stream at a time, fine i guess I get it, but when I click let me listen it is not pausing the music on my other device so I get the message multiple times. Is there a problem with the let me listen button? Does the browser take priority over the app?

When you return to work, is the player still playing music or has it paused? Do you see any type of messaging?
