post Android: Pandora starts randomly playing music from phone speakers when app is closed in Android

For the 2nd time in recent weeks, Pandora turned itself on and started blaring music in the 1am hour. Android phone, Google Nexus 6a. My phone is nightly on Bedtime Mode with Do Not Disturb and yet the music is full volume... enough to literally wake the dead. I'll check for updates and re-read this thread for quick fixes, but when you turn it off, it should be off.

@HeyBee Nice to see you around the community.

If you haven't already done so, please run through the following troubleshooting steps: Troubleshooting for Android Devices

If that does not resolve your issues, I'd like to report your experience to our engineering team. Can you send over a bit more info about your device?

Model:

Carrier:

Android version (Settings > About Phone):

Build number (Settings > About Phone):

Android Security Patch Level, if noted on your device (Settings > About Phone):

Pandora version:

If you can open Pandora, go to Profile, then select Settings. Scroll to the bottom of the screen for the version number.

If you can't open Pandora: from Android Home screen > Android Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Find Pandora

Does this happened after being connected in the Android Auto or a Bluetooth enabled device?

Are you connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data when this is happening?

Have you identified any other patterns or notable information?

Let me know what you can find out.

Hi, Adam!

I pursued a solution I saw online. Inside the Pandora app for Android, Advanced settings menu, I turned off the Auto-Start feature. As this is an intermittent issue, I cannot say that the problem is fixed.. I guess time will tell.

I appreciate your reply & will respond with all the info you specified it it happens again. Thank you!

For the last 3 nights Pandora turned itself at 3:02 am, at full volume. I have used Pandora for many years but this may be the end.

Samsung S20. All apps were closed other than "Clock" app v12.2.15.12. It was set for 7am. Pandora Auto-start was in off mode.
