Android: Pandora would not update the country I was in

I traveled to a country in which Pandora was not available, but then I returned to my home country, where Pandora is available. And yet Pandora kept staying in offline mode, saying it was not available in the current country, which was false.

It stayed this way for 4 days. I tried rebooting the phone, and clearing the Pandora cache (and rebooting the phone). Nothing worked. So I finally had to uninstall the app, reboot, and reinstall it, losing any downloaded music in the process.

This was quite annoying. Is there any better way to deal with this apparent software bug in the Pandora app for Android?

Welcome to community! I’m sorry that happened, I can understand how frustrating it must have been. Just to check, is everything working as expected now?

It’s possible your device or network had cached your location while you were traveling, which likely caused the “not available in your current country” message to persist even after you returned home. While clearing cache and rebooting usually helps, it sounds like in your case that was not helpful.
