Long Songs Abruptly Stop Playing

It's 2026 and I am now having an issue I've never had where a longer song abruptly stops and goes to another song. Example: "Angels in Flight" by Steve Roach. The song stops at about 20 minutes, then goes to another song. When I hit the back arrow, it goes back to the Angels in Flight song and picks up where it left off, then plays for another 20 minutes before stopping again. It only happens on the Pandora app (it doesn't occur when using a browser) on my Windows 11 PC, and on both of my Android phones. NOTE: It is NOT my cache, or network connection, or device firmware, third party apps, or the relative humidity. It is an issue with Pandora, and I've only started seeing it occur in just the past week or two. The end user shouldn't have to reverse engineer your app and find command line workarounds. I love Pandora, but it's gotten glitchy over the past year or so. Seems to be going downhill. PLEASE fix it!

@DennisW I'm sorry to hear you've been running into this issue, especially since it sounds like it's been happening consistently across multiple devices and only started recently. I definitely understand how frustrating it is when longer tracks don't play through properly, particularly when you've already ruled out the usual troubleshooting steps on your end.

I took a closer look at the example you provided ("Angels in Flight" by Steve Roach), and I do see recent plays on your account. However, the version I'm currently seeing in our catalog has a total runtime of 12:21, which doesn't line up with the playback stopping around the 20-minute mark that you described.

To help us investigate this further, could you please try and replicate this once more on your end and send over:

a direct link to the specific version of "Angels in Flight" on Pandora that's stopping for you
the date/time the track stopped

That will help us confirm we're looking at the same recording/version of the track.

Please also send links to any other tracks where you're consistently able to reproduce this issue, as that will help us look for any common patterns.

Lastly, can you clarify whether this only happens when the song plays organically from one of your stations, or if it only occurs when you manually search for and play the track on demand?

The more detail we can gather around how the track is being played, the better chance we have of reproducing and escalating the issue appropriately.
