Android: Trouble with App Connecting in Car

Ever since I updated my phone to android 12 the app does not work properly. It does not connect to my car, when I finally press the play button in the app it stops when my phone locks, it also just stops randomly after a minute or 2 while my phone is still on. It has never acted like this… I have no idea what is going on… And I am a paying subscriber.
