CarPlay: Pandora not fully functional

Pandora does not seem to stream to CarPlay as of 9 days ago. Prior to that everything worked automatically with no issues. To work around I’ve had to make my personal hotspot discoverable for music to play and even that seems to lag: display reads “poor network connection please wait”. The dealer is saying my BMW needs a software update at $417.00 in order for the app to work optimally.

Sorry for any trouble when using Pandora with CarPlay. Do you use the Wireless version of CarPlay or are you connected to your head unit with a cord?

Thanks for the reply, @Musicmarc. I'm going to send you a Private Message here on community. I'd like to gather some additional information that is a bit sensitive and shouldn't be posted on community.

You should see an envelope appear next to your user profile image in the top right side of the screen when you receive the message.
