Samsung TV: Playback stops after each song

I'm running Pandora version 3.0. I'm paying for the upgrade for no commercials. I play Pandora on two TVs. Both are Samsung. Most times the music plays with no issue. But then it'll stop playing after each song. I have to close the app and go back in. That's annoying when I'm trying to workout or doing something where I just want music to keep playing. What's the issue?

mod edit: edited title for clarity

Hey, @Blade_6_9. 👋

Thanks for reporting your experience with Pandora on your Samsung TV. I understand how that could be frustrating.

This issue is usually specific to the network you're using to access Pandora, or due to an error on the device itself. First, make sure your device has the latest firmware by checking for a new update.

Go to Menu > Support > Software Update, then reinstall the Pandora app.

If an update is available, try loading Pandora again once the update is complete.

You can also try deleting and re-adding the Pandora app from the app store on your Samsung device.

If you're still having the same problem, then please try a few standard network troubleshooting steps:

Try connecting directly via an Ethernet cable rather than using Wi-Fi (if you have this option on your device), and see if that helps.

Try rebooting your modem and router and restarting the device.

Samsung may be able to help to troubleshoot your specific device and settings.

You can view their support page here.

Contact them directly using this link.

I hope this is helpful. Let me know how it goes. 🎧

Same here. Mine is on a Samsung TV in a hotel room. I stay at this hotel every week & I enjoy listening to music in the mornings while I get read for work, but Pandora app on Samsung TV only plays one song at a time. You have to click on the Pause Button twice just to get each song to play. It is irritating because I do not have this problem at home on my Roku TV.

Hi @Micky_D_WNC

Welcome to community!

The usual troubleshooting steps may be difficult to try since this is a hotel TV and not personal. The next time you experience this, if you can reach the power cord, let's power cycle the TV by unplugging it for 5 minutes and then plugging it back in.

In the meantime, I've passed along your experience to our engineering teams for further review.
