Amazon Alexa: Not recognizing current song

When playing my Pandora on Amazons Alexa device, I used to be able to ask Alexa..."what song is this", or "who the artist?" and it would tell me. Now it tells me a song title from several songs ago, or it says....hmmm I dont hear anything playing.
I restarted Alexa and Pandora multiple times. I unenabled Pandora on the Alexa app and reenabled it. I've uninstalled both apps and reconnected them again. Still having this issue.
Any ideas?

Could you tell me a few more details about your experience, do you find that this happens with a specific station, multiple stations, or while playing in Shuffle?

Interesting that it happens with Shuffle. Out of curiosity, do you have the same experience when playing just one station and asking for the song name?

My friend is having this exact same issue. Clearly it’s a Pandora or maybe Alexa issue. Amazon says it’s not on their end. Who knows!!

You might get some mileage by disabling the Pandora skill in the Alexa app, re-enabling it, then relinking your account; that usually resets whatever got stuck. I’ve also had luck asking it to switch the music provider and then switch back. I ran into a similar tech hiccup recently and found a couple of handy tips on, so it might be worth a peek if you’re poking around for fixes.
