Pandora just shut off after an hour or so here on my laptop. So, this is your problem, not Sonos. I am a premium member. I should not get timeouts, right?

I stream Pandora Premium to my Sonos:1 devices daily. In the last few months, my audio stream will just randomly stop. I am controlling it via the Sonos app, not the Pandora app. All apps are up to date, and I am on iOS 26.1. This is really frustrating!

Hi @txlthrboy

Welcome to the Community!

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble with playback. Which version of the Sonos app are you currently using?

To start, please try playing Pandora on your Sonos directly from the Pandora app and let me know if you experience the same issue. This will help determine whether the problem occurs in both apps or only within the Sonos app.

I do see some recent login activity. Have you tried any troubleshooting steps before reaching out? If so, please let me know what you’ve already tried.

If you haven’t already, please check for a firmware update on your Sonos device. To do this on iOS, open the Sonos app, tap the More tab, select Settings, and then choose Check for Updates.

Thanks!

Hi Tanner! Thanks for the reply!

Software is all up to date: iOS - 26.2, Pandora - 2510.1, Sonos - S2, V. 80.35.8

Other fixes attempted: Rebooting router, removing and re-enrolling Pandora from Sonos.

Appears to work without interruption when streaming from the Pandora app to the Sonos speakers, but that is also really inconvenient. Other music apps (Spotify, Amazon) function without interruption when playing from within Sonos app. Looking forward to any updates!

To check for any necessary updates, visit the app store on your device.

Once any necessary updates are complete, restart your Sonos device and try Pandora again.

Let me know how it goes!

Hi @txlthrboy

Sorry for the continued trouble, and thank you for your patience!

I appreciate you confirming that you haven’t had trouble streaming Pandora through the Pandora app on your Sonos. Since you’ve already tried the recommended troubleshooting steps, I’ve passed this information along to our Engineering team for further review and investigation.

We have limited visibility into the Sonos app itself, which means our ability to troubleshoot within their platform is limited. As a result, I don’t have any additional troubleshooting steps to recommend right now. In the meantime, if you haven’t already, I suggest reaching out to Sonos Support, as they may be able to provide more targeted, app-specific assistance.

Thanks again for letting us know, and we truly appreciate your patience.

I have a similar problem. I've been a premium subscriber for a very long time now and have used my old ZP80 Sonos to stream to my hifi. I have to use the original Sonos 1 app on an Android device. The device and the ZP80 are on the same network (the ZP80 is ethernet and the Android is wireless but the same router).

For years now, I've been able to stream for unlimited time on this system. Recently, something weird has happened in that Pandora stops playing after a couple of hours, as if I'm not a premium member anymore. I still have the same stations, etc. but I can't figure out how to prevent this from happening. Pandora appears to disconnect from Sonos after the timeout period since the Sonos app says "cannot connect to Pandora."

I can go back to the home screen on the app, then select Pandora again, and it plays fine, but then turns off after a few hours. I've normally been able to play Pandora stations on my system for 8-10 hours per day, but not now.

Is there something I should check? I'm baffled. I'm currently testing to see if Pandora will play through my computer for a long time. I have tried different Android devices as well with the same result of timeouts. At least I'm not hearing advertising so I'm in fact still premium, and my account here shows that status, but why Pandora disconnects after a while on the Sonos 1 app is a mystery to me. There's no settings that I can find in the app that would make any difference either.

Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks.
