All of a sudden, about three weeks ago, my PC-laptop-based Pandora started "buffering" indefinitely after every few songs. My TV and auto Pandora do NOT do this, thank goodness. I've turned everything off and on and nothing seems to help. What's up??

mod edit: changed title for clarity

Hi John! Thanks for posting about this.

Can you tell me a bit more about what is happening and about how you listen through your computer?

Are you listening from:

A Mac or Windows computer?

Our website, or the desktop app? If you're listening from our website, what browser are you using?

Is there an error message?

If yes, what exactly does it say?

If not, tell me exactly what you see when you go to https://www.pandora.com

Let me know!

Hi Maria,

I'm listening on my Windows laptop, on Pandora.com, which is exactly what I've been listening on for as long as I've owned this and my previous computer.

Going to Pandora.com is exactly what I always do, although I actually simply have that cued up on a separate tab open on my Google Chrome browser. When I launch it, it immediately goes to and starts playing whatever station I last had listed.

After a few songs, it usually quits. Never get an error message, simply that it is "Buffering".

Thanks for any help you can give.

John

Maria,

I think I found the solution. Apparently one of those endless "Windows Updates" reset my "Sleep" setting for 10 minutes, as I noticed the pattern of going to buffering when my screen went dark as a precipitator. Once my screen went dark, it also went to sleep, which moved Pandora into "Buffering" and then "stop". I know it wasn't me - HA! - since I had to have Google show me how to reset it, and there it was!

Thanks for commiserating with me. Have a good day!
