Desktop: Pandora starts at shutdown point from previous day

I listen to Pandora at work on my Windows desktop. Lately I find when I shut down Pandora for the night and come back the next morning to start my work day, when I start up the program it continues from which point in the song it was shutdown. It will continue playing for a while but will eventually stop and show me a blank album icon with a spinning circle. I restart the program and it works normally. Use to be when it was shut down in the middle of a song, it would start a new song when you would open the app again. What could be causing this?

If you are on a computer, are you listening from:

Our website, or the desktop app? If you're listening from our website, what browser are you using?

Is there an error message? If so, what does it say?
Can you provide me with a screenshot of what you're seeing?
