I have had a couple of real good friends who were gay. The first was a Marine I met when I was in the Navy. He taught me that not every gay person is your stereotypical gay. In fact he wasn't. I was friends with him a couple of weeks before he told me he was gay. I would have never guessed. He had to be in the closet then because of the rules against homosexuality in the military. Later after I got out of the Navy I worked with a gay guy who was very stereotypically gay but he was hilarious and I loved him. My sisters loved him too.

I think when we learn to accept that we are all different and that we should celebrate what we have in common the world would be a better place.
