I'm going to step out of the box and pick Jesse McGuire on the trumpet. The 2001 rendition at the Arizona Diamond backs game was stunning. I was there, 11 years old at the time, and literally cried. It was also just after 9/11 as the game was on Oct 28th that year. It was literally so moving. I would say tied for that with an actual voice would be Whitney Houston. She didn't go over the top and just performed it flawlessly. Those would be my top 2 absolute most moving and favorite renditions I have heard to date. 🌟

🌟 Whitney for me! I think she was one of the greatest vocalists of all time.

The moment that stands out most to me was after 9/11, when nations around the world showed their support and solidarity with the United States by playing our National Anthem. It was a deeply moving gesture of unity and compassion." For a brief moment, most of the world came together.
