post Ideas: Mobile Browser Streaming & Apple Watch Collection Management in iOS

It is really disappointing that one cannot simply add content to their collection using the browser on ipados or ios. Pandora makes money by following their listerners and selling that data. That's why the data is shared and why Pandora requires the app. On Free and Paid accounts, they are making the listener the product. I find this so disappointing. It's equally disappointing that one cannot dismiss or remove old/ancient podcasts from the play list on Apple Watch and likely other devices, forcing listeners to try to fast forward through the old stuff to get the new one to come up. I gave up and use Apple Podcast for podcasts as a result. So "Good Job" Pandora, you convinced me to do something else! Silly mindset in this ever increasing awareness time as people learn the cost of data sharing more every day.

Moderator's edit: Changed title for clarity.

Hi @EarMeOut, welcome to the Pandora community!

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. I understand how frustrating it can be when the ways you’d prefer to access and manage your content aren’t currently supported, and I appreciate you explaining how these limitations have affected your experience with Pandora.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about:

the ability to stream Pandora through a mobile browser

the ability to edit your collection directly from the Pandora app on your Apple Watch

At this time, streaming Pandora through a mobile browser isn’t supported. To listen on an iOS device, you’ll need to use the Pandora app.

Additionally, the Pandora app on Apple Watch acts as an extension of the main mobile app, so managing or removing content from your collection isn’t currently supported directly from the watch. Those changes will need to be made through the Pandora app on your phone or computer and will then sync to your watch.

While these are not current features, we appreciate you taking the time to share your ideas. Feedback like yours helps us understand which features matter most to our listeners.

However, in genereal, Pandora usually continues to play from the point where you left your previous listening session, so, can you tell me more about your experience with that?

What podcast were you listening to when you had this issue?

Is it only happening when listening through the Apple watch?

What's the model of the watch?

Were you connected to mobile data or Wi-Fi? Or were you trying to listen offline?

Regarding your concerns about data and privacy, we take our privacy obligations very seriously at Pandora and we’ve built an array of privacy features and options into our services.

For more information about our privacy practices, please view our privacy policy. If you have any additional questions, let us know.

Let us know!
