iOS: Volume Control Freezes with Bluetooth

When I stream to my Harmon Kardon Onyx 7 Bluetooth speaker I can adjust the volume on my iPhone 13 with the slide control or volume buttons. After listening for a while I cannot adjust the volume with my phone using either the slide control or volume buttons. I have to pause the music, close the app and restart to regain volume control. Any suggestions?

Is this a recent issue that just started happening? Based on your message, it sounds like your speaker becomes the volume control after a certain amount of time while casting from your iPhone device.

Let's try re-pairing the Bluetooth connection between your device and the phone.

To remove the pairing, please go into the Bluetooth settings menu on your phone, find the appropriate connection, and select "Forget this device."

Once you've done so, refer to the owner's manual for your device for how to reconnect to your phone.
