Songs cut off before they are finished

Abrupt cut offs happen on a LOT of songs. Extremely annoying and not something you should expect paying for a service.

Can you explain your issue a bit further?

What do you mean by abrupt cut offs?
Is there an error message? If so, what does it say?
Can you provide me with a screenshot of what you're seeing?

No error messages. Nothing to show you. The endings of tracks are chopped abruptly like bad editing. No natural decay or fade - music stops abruptly 20-30% of the time.

Pandora version: (Pandora > Profile tab > Settings gear & scroll to the bottom of the screen)

Are you connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data when this is happening?

Have you identified any other patterns or notable information?

Same issue for me. Windows 10, Pandora desktop app. Also iOS app.

e.g. the track Eleventh Hour by Abdullah Ibrahim ends before the sustain has faded, on both Windows desktop and iOS app. Very unlikely the original recording was like that. Also I find that songs end abruptly sometimes in the middle of the track. Very disappointing.

Hi @mgstauff , thanks for posting.

I checked the song you mentioned and it looks like we have a couple versions of the song.

It looks like the cut off song that you are listening belongs to the album Cape Town Revisited , launched in the 2000's. This version is 3:56 while the original song from the Cape Town Flowers album from 1997 is 4:22, so that seems to be the complete version. You can check this version out here: Eleventh Hour

That said, can you tell me more about the songs being interrupted? Do you have the app on the background when this happens? Also, does it happens when you are listening to a specific song, playlist or album?

Do you experience the stoppages on other devices too?
