Unable to play music while playing a mobile game

I'm trying to reach out to my fellow pandora family to seek help with a problem I'm having with my music stop playing when I play a mobile game;when I have the game volume muted.

Can someone please explain what I can do to fix this issue.

@JonBoy1980 Nice to see you around the Community.

We're so glad to hear you've been enjoying Pandora while using other apps. Unfortunately, the sound settings of each app are set by the needs of the app and cannot be altered. So, if you are playing a game or using an app that requires sound, the audio from Pandora may pause. It's not possible for us to override the sound settings, or any other functions of another app.

If the app allows you to turn it's sound off, then it's not necessary for that app. It would be nice if apps that allow users to turn off their sounds, if Pandora could play in it's stead. Just a thought, a wish, a prayer. 🙏 Plzzzzz

I can't even scroll through Facebook without the music stopping. There has to be a way to stop this.

@CarlaB76 To clarify, are you only experiencing this issue with Pandora when listening on your Android phone?

Have you tried streaming other apps such as YouTube?

If not, please try launching the YouTube app and let me know if you experience similar issues there as well.
