Song My Station is Created From Never Plays

I have used the radio station feature for a long time. I have an issue where the song(s) I create the station from are never actually played on the station. I understand they can't be played on command, but they haven't come up on the station ever and it has been literally years (and there are a large number of other songs which I have heard repeatedly).

Songs I have given a thumbs-up to cycle through fairly regularly, but not the song I used to create the station (ans the songs I use to "add variety" to it play relatively infrequently compared to thumbs-up'ed songs). Is it possible to pre-emptively thumbs-up a song or add it to the list of thumbs-up'ed songs directly? I thought adding a song to the "add variety" section would work this way but they seem very different in terms of the effect of hiw much the song gets played. Again, to emphasize, the song the station is created from and named for has literally never played after years.

I definitely understand that it can be frustrating not to hear the track you created your station with.

For more information around this, I recommend checking out the accepted solution to this thread. If you scroll down, you will see a heading titled Not hearing the artist or song your station was created for.

In regards to giving tracks a thumbs up, there is not a way to do that preemptively. Additionally, adding variety to a station doesn't narrow the song pool that Pandora chooses from, nor does it increase your chances of hearing a particular song or artist. Rather, it opens up your station to a lot of variety, which can make for some undesirable matches.
