The timeout message comes up when we detect that you have not interacted with the player for a while. This is in place to avoid playing music to empty rooms and helps reduce our streaming costs. Since Pandora pays royalties on every stream, these timeouts help support both our free and subscription services.

Pandora actively experiments with different ways to determine whether music is still being listened to or if playback may be occurring in an unattended environment.

For listeners looking to avoid timeouts entirely, Pandora for Business is currently the only available option. Since this service is built for commercial use, it includes business music licensing and specialized equipment requirements, making it less practical for personal listening situations.

"Still listening?" message still appears with Plus subscriptoin

I paid for a subscription so that music would play uninterrupted for my dogs while I'm at work. It did play for a while, but now every time I come home at lunch, it's stopped saying "Still Listening?" Why does this keep happening?
