When it's your job to create walls of amplifier feedback and *smash expensive Rickenbacker guitars for legendary rock band The Who, sometimes you need to unwind with a solo career. The prolific Pete Townshend has been recording his own records ever since 1972's Who Came First. This playlist celebrates the windmill strummer's songs sans band. Since he's written tons of hits and great tunes for The Who, it should come as no surprise that most of his solo songs are of the same high caliber. *No electric guitars were harmed in the making of this playlist.

How time flies. I remember when The Who "WAS JUST" becoming a hot group. Thanks for posting, they really do have some great hit's. I also think Pete Townsend had just as successful career on his own just as he did with The Who. Take care and stay safe.
