Dude have you ever thought that the radio plays songs that are popular? Do you know any popular rock songs made by women? I don’t. And I’m not saying this to disrespect anyone, but i highly doubt they disrespect women or anyone in general, so don’t boycott them.

I'm constantly thinking about why I don't hear voices of women in the rock and metal genres. We as a community need to boycott the FM radio if the FM radio and streaming stations that don't play female artists as well as pay the female artists their fair share of income. Women in the music production industry and in our society are underappreciated, in the rock and metal genres we're considered outcast. To treat female rock and metal and any genres like **ahem** by not playing their martial angers me. I'm asking for people who read this thread to boycott any music streaming and FM-AM stations that don't want to play 4 songs per hour by female artists whoever chooses not to has no respect for women in the music industry

Hi, @Aspqw1234. 👋

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We hear your frustration and recognize how important representation is, especially for women in rock, metal, and other genres that have historically received less visibility.

At the moment, there isn't a way to limit stations by vocal gender, but we're always interested in feedback around more advanced ways to personalize stations and surface the artists you want to hear more of. In the meantime, one option is to create a station from a specific song that reflects the sound you're looking for, then use Add Variety to include additional tracks or artists and fine-tune the station as it evolves.

If you'd prefer more direct control, you can also listen on-demand. Pandora Premium subscribers can search for a song or album and hit play. Ad-supported and Pandora Plus listeners can start a complimentary Premium session from an artist or album’s backstage page.

We appreciate you raising this topic and being part of a broader conversation about representation and discovery in music.
