Greetings and welcome to the Pandora for Creators Community! This is a space to learn about AMP tools, connect with other creators and get support.

My name is Chris and I am one of the Moderators and a Senior Support Specialist on the AMP team 🙂

If you are new to Pandora for Creators, please introduce yourself! You can feel free to include:

• A link to your music and/or podcast on Pandora
• An artist that inspires you
• Your favorite AMP tool

I’m happy to kick this off!

Here is a link to my band on Pandora.

David Byrne is an artist who truly inspires me. I was fortunate enough to see him perform a few years ago and marveled at how he was able to reimagine songs I’ve heard a million times to sound fresh & exciting with new live arrangements.

The AMP tool I think is special is Artist Audio Messages. It is such a unique way to connect with your audience that can only be found on Pandora.

Once again, welcome and don’t feel shy!

Hello everyone Cindy here for T.A.P.   We are an international band just getting started. Good to be here and hope to contribute. Our music is unique combining cultures and genres. Our songs are a blend of pop, hip hop, R&B, Soul, and afro beat, but we try and stay out of the box:) Our core band is 4 but we work with many with the mission that making the music and listening to the music should both bring something good. It's about the journey and the relationships on the journey. We are excited to have DebAura our new lead singer with us. She is bringing a powerful sound with her amazing voice to our songs. We are just getting set up here. Our newest release is What You Say.  https://pandora.app.link/jzXbnMwefJb

Hi there!  My name is OUDi and I am new to the Pandora community!  I am here looking to network and expose my debut pop-alternative project OUDi.  I was once one half of Jakalope with Dave "Rave" Ogilvie (NIN/Skinny Puppy) and most recently one half of the Billboard Charting duo Sons of Daughters.  This time I am spearheading my debut solo project independently!  Pleased to meet you all!

I'm learning a lot as I navigate through the world of DSP & Satellite radio and would love to learn as much as possible.

Would love to hear what you're doing and what you think of my tracks!

Hey @OUDi - Thanks for stopping by and sharing your music with us!

I definitely hear some Industrial influences in your music, particularly your latest single "Afraid of Flying". It reminds me of some that would have been on the album Halsey did with Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross, "If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power". Really powerful stuff!

Feel free to share your new singles as they come out! I'd also highly recommend checking out a webinar so you can learn more about the AMP and connect with our Curators.

Cheers! ✌️

Hi, Bruce Gebhardt here, representing Foundry Town Survivors, an "eclectic" recording group of Ann Arbor, Michigan ex-pats now residing in Michigan and Las Vegas.

We grew up in A2 in the 1960's when artists like Bob Seger, Iggy Pop, the Rationals and Savage Grace (Detroit) were still local groups coming out of our high school! It was a great era to grow up in.

Pandora has become our most efficient music platform and ongoing improvements to AMP make it easier than ever to get the music out there. Can't wait to add cover photos...

We are partial to many types of music, but still retain a special love for the Detroit Rock of the '60s and '70's.

Hope to connect with many of you over the next few months.

Hello,
I'm Mooney Starr my latest single is out now entitled "But This Love". I also have 2 other projects under the names of Astro Spectacular and Warm Leatherette. My biggest question is how to get on the curated playlist that can give an artist unbounded visibility? I've discovered many bands and artists' this way and am grateful that I have done so. Being suggested by curators onto playlists has the ability of changing an artists trajectory almost overnight. Hope to get an answer to this.

Hi Mooney Astro Warm Leatherette Spectacular Starr.  With curated playlists, there's two types - one type, usually playlists with less listeners, are independent, like you or I could make one.  Actually I have one I made here on Pandora.  And you could make one, a curated playlist, right here on Pandora (or on most other streaming sites).  And people could find your curated playlist and discover songs on it, exactly as you describe.  The problem is, unless you advertise, you probably won't have many listeners, because there's a LOT of playlists out there.

So what you could try to get your song on a curated playlist with more listeners is to either a) find playlists that might be good fits for your songs, then see if you can figure out how to contact the curator based on the limited information you see on the playlist, or b) use a service like submithub to submit your songs to curators with reasonable-sized playlists for the cost of around $2 a pop (some less some more).

There are also curated editorial playlists, run by staff at places like Pandora and other streaming sites, and some of the largest playlists are editorial playlists.  One thing that wasn't obvious to me at first, and this comment is applying to Spotify and not necessarily Pandora, but I would expect it to be similar on Pandora, is that to get on any of the really big and important editorial playlists, one first needs to be considered (by Spotify any way) in the top 50%-60% of their most popular artists. And by popular, I mean artists with lots of high quality, recent streams. You can google "Spotify Popularity Index" to understand more. And to have an artist popularity index that high, one needs to have multiple really popular songs.

Hi all, not sure how active this thread still is but I just joined as an AMP artist and am waiting for my verification.  My music has been on Pandora for a while but a friend just told me about AMP and it sounds like a great tool!  This already seems like a welcoming community and I am listening to a bunch of the artists who have posted here already.

Here is a link to my music: https://www.pandora.com/artist/levi-gangi/ARkKhgZnm7VdPn4

Dustin O'Halloran has been a huge influence on my solo piano songwriting.  I love how he infuses classical styles into contemporary music.  His songs aren't lofty or inaccessible - they feel immediate and close-at-hand, like something familiar that has returned.
