@jonathantschanz  You can still connect with other listeners on Pandora without Facebook or Twitter. After launching Pandora on your mobile device:

  1. Go to the Profile tab.
  2. Next tap Followers, then Find Friends.
  3. Tap the  "+" icon to search for a friend using the email address associated with their Pandora account.

Hope this helps!

I hadn't used the app in a long time, so I know the person's username as it *was* appearing in my "following" list when i logged back in, but now it continually says "0" next to following and the person no longer shows up? It's odd, because at first, the name was appearing, and I could see their profile. Sometimes it was grayed out when I tapped "following" to see the username (I was only following the one person).  Now it never has a grayed out name or the profile; it's just "0".  Any way to see if I can add someone back without an email address?

@fju2112 Can you confirm that the person you are looking for still has their account set to Public?

If they recently set their account to Private, that would explain why they are no longer showing in your followers list.

Let me know.

I don't know that for sure, but I would be surprised. I'm not even sure if the user is still active, but again, after a long period time of not logging in, I saw the person in "following" one day and then not the next. It could be the profile went private, but why for a while was I sometimes seeing "1" next to Following and could see the profile, and other times "0"? And sometimes when it said "1", I'd tap, and there would be grayed out fields instead of the username; other times i could see the profile? Just wondering if this is a bug, or if inactive accounts get flushed at some point, etc?

@fju2112 Thanks for following up.

Can you please reach out to the person you are following and confirm with them if their Pandora account is now set to Private?

Let me know what you find out.

Additionally, I do see you have an Android device connected to your account - is this the one you are using when your follower count shows 0?

If so, can you send over a bit more info about your device?

  • Model:
  • Carrier:
  • Android version (Settings > About Phone):
  • Build number (Settings > About Phone):
  • Android Security Patch Level, if noted on your device (Settings > About Phone):
  • Pandora version:
    • If you can open Pandora, go to Profile, then select Settings. Scroll to the bottom of the screen for the version number.
    • If you can't open Pandora: from Android Home screen > Android Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Find Pandora

Are you connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data when this is happening?

Lastly, please send over a screenshot of what you are seeing.

Thanks again for working with me on this.
