"Someone else is listening" Message

"Someone Else is Listening" Message:

If you are receiving the message, "Your Pandora Account is currently playing on another device," or "Someone else is listening," then more than one device is streaming from your account at the same time.

While your Pandora account can be logged into as many devices as you like, they can't be playing at the same time. Regardless of your subscription level, the revenue from one Pandora account only covers the cost of one stream from one device. As long as you press pause on one device before you listen to Pandora on another, you should be fine.

Unauthorized User on my account:

If you believe this error message is popping up due to an unauthorized user accessing your account, and would like help with disassociating or removing any devices that are logged into your account, please contact our support team for further assistance.

At this time, listeners cannot view or remove devices logged into their accounts manually.

In the meantime, you can upvote this idea by liking this request if you want to see this as a feature offered on Pandora.

Hope this information is helpful!

Hi @Strog050470 Thanks for posting.

Can you clarify your problem? This thread is for listeners who may be receiving a message about someone else listening to their Pandora account.

Are you receiving this message or do you believe that there is an unauthorized user on your account?

Let me know.

I have an unauthorized user using my account too and need all devices to be logged out. Can you please do this?

Hi @eroth5 sorry to hear this.

I've asked our User Support team to go ahead and remove all the devices associated with your account. This will automatically sign you out everywhere including any devices you currently have, so you will need to sign back in once this change takes effect. Please be patient as this may not happen instantaneously.

After you sign back in, I would recommend changing your password to something else. Let me know if you need help with this.

Thanks for posting on community!

Hi @dadakay, thanks for posting! Sorry to hear this.

Are you receiving this message on a device like your phone or while in your vehicle or both?

If you're on a device, can you let me know the type or if in your vehicle, the make and model?

Thanks!

Hey there, @jayklinger1984. 👋

A specialist from our User Support team has reached out to you via email to assist with the removal of devices logged into your Pandora account. Please keep an eye out for the email from our User Support team. If you don't see it soon, please check your spam / junk folder to make sure it didn't end up there. 📬

I would also recommend checking out this existing feature request as it seems like you'd be interested in seeing this option implemented: Someone else listening - Show what other device is being used

Be sure to click on the ❤️icon next to the title of the request to express your interest.

Hope this helps. 🎶

It seems obvious that all devices should be forced to re-log in any time the password is changed. Should be the default, although a user option NOT to require this does not really hurt. What really hurts is that I have no control over the usage of the account I pay for since others can continue to use the account indefinitely without my permission if they are able to log in only once in any way, as long as Pandora does not force new logins with every password change like virtually every other app I can think of or have ever used.

I can't figure out how to log all devices out of my Pandora account. I was recently divorced and I think my ex is still using my account. I changed the password but it didn't force log out.

@Elmer_Fudd Nice to see you around the community.

Check out this post for more information on why this error message may be popping up for you.

Additionally, while there isn't currently a way for you to manage devices on your end to see who is logged into your account, I recommend giving a ❤️to this existing feature request: Someone else listening - Show what other device is being used

In the meantime, I am going to have someone from our support team contact you privately via email to help make sure this gets taken care of.
