My Pandora is playing two stations at once. Close the app and it was still playing in the background.
My phone is on software 14 and 6.0
Moderator Edit: Format
With all the issues everyone else is having including myself, if I change stations both stations with be play the same..when that happens I am unable to close Pandora and have to restart my phone..Also while in my car listening through Bluetooth, Pandora will not pause for a incoming call...and will continue will call is connected...and can be heard.
I have this same problem in my 2016 Kia Sorento also on s22 ultra! I'm hoping for a fix soon because I have premium for my long work commute!
@KayB17 This fix was able to help a friend of mine who had the same issue...
This is what I found for him...And as I stated it fixed his problem...
Force Close the App: When you close the Pandora app, make sure you’re force closing it rather than just moving it to the background. To force close an app on Android, follow these steps:
Check for Updates: Ensure that your Pandora app is up to date. Sometimes, outdated versions can cause unexpected behavior. Visit the Google Play Store, search for Pandora, and update it if necessary.
Clear Cache and Data: Clearing the app’s cache and data might help resolve the issue. Here’s how:
Check for Pandora Premium Features: If you’re a Pandora Premium subscriber, you can shuffle your stations. Follow these steps:
Contact Pandora Support: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, I recommend contacting Pandora Support. They can provide personalized assistance and further investigate the problem.
I had to find this tech help online because I don't have a cell phone but he does and it fixed his problem so perhaps it could just be the fix you need as well...
Take care and GOD bless...
S21 plus, pandora version 2403.1 has been doing nothing right since last Android update. Continues to not allow me to skip songs and for some reason just today I had 2 songs playing at the exact same time and the song name on the screen wasn't one of them. Can we please fix issues due to the fact that I'm actually paying for this service and I'm getting annoyed
Hi there, @Sikntwizted. 👋
Sorry for the continued trouble. To keep everything organized, I moved your post over to this existing thread: Android 14: Two stations / songs play simultaneously

The app freezes alot on Android it won't stop playing when you close the app when Bluetooth disconnects it keeps playing the track instead of pausing. You have to shut the app down to play music again. It plays songs while a song is already playing
Hi @2pop
Welcome to community!
Sorry to hear this is happening. I moved your post over to an existing thread that is similar: Android 14: Two stations / songs play simultaneously
Your info has been shared with our teams who are investigating. Thanks for your patience in the meantime!
Yesterday this problem almost resulted in an accident. Multiple songs playing at the same time freaked me out. This has been an issue for way too long. If you can't fix it at least make an easy restart or kill button. I've been using pandora for almost 11 years and will be cancelling my subscription and going with someone else at least until this is resolved. It is dangerous.
It happened to me today for the first time. I was playing in shuffle mode when my phone lost the connection and switched to offline mode and started playing another song at the same time. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S23 One UI version 6.1 android version 14. I was driving so I let it play. Once the first song finished it was back to normal.
Just happened to me for the second time. I had just encountered the other problem with the controls not working. Before when that happened I'd close Pandora and restart it. This time I tried changing the station instead. When I did it started playing another song while still playing the song that was playing before.
To add to my previous post, it may be that those two problems are related.

Samsung s24 pandora does not pause when disconnecting from Bluetooth speaker
Apparently this is an on going situation with Pandora for from what I've seen for a few years now. Pandora has done nothing to fix it. Why should we continue to listen if we have this continued problem.
Yeah, yeah, I know, pandora going to ask me for the standard info. We'll, from what I've been reading in the community chat, it doesn't matter they can't fix the problem. I'll check back another time but for now, I'll be looking for another music app. Good luck!
Is there a fix for this yet? I just got a Samsung A54 and am having this same exact issue
I think what happens is if you do anything on your phone with Pandora while android auto is playing Pandora it starts basically 2 instances of the app going at the same time.
While I was connected to my car via Bluetooth I didn't have Android Auto on (my phone needs to be plugged into my car for it to run)
