I have Bluetooth on my car stereo. When I am playing Pandora in my car through Bluetooth and I turn off my car, Pandora starts playing on my phone immediately. It's usually load and it's quite annoying. Is there a way to stop this from happening on my phone (Google pixel)?
Thanks in advance!
Chris
Hi @Megaskywarp! Thanks for posting. I moved your message over to an existing thread: Pandora Starts Playing After Being Closed

I am having the same problem. Last two nights (middle of the night), Pandora wakes me up blaring music. I have a Samsung Galaxy S10e. How can I keep it from doing this?
Pandora started doing this on my s10+ at around 10 at night for the last 2 nights. My carrier is at&t. Pandora version 2801.1.1. I had to force stop. Then I had to sign in again to try to figure out what was wrong. No alarm setting would have caused this. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app.
Hey there, @Lburchell @APhaire. 👋
Sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue. To keep everything organized, I moved your posts over to this existing thread: Android: Pandora Starts Playing After Being Closed
I’ve enabled a trace on your individual Pandora accounts to help us better understand what’s happening. For this trace to be useful, we’ll need you to run through our troubleshooting steps.
Android Troubleshooting:
From your Android Settings, please try clearing the Pandora app data using the following steps (not to worry, we'll keep track of your profile and collection for you):*
Keep in mind that the steps for each Android device is slightly different. If you have a Pixel, you can check out Google's help page for steps on how to clear space on your device.
Please note that you will be asked to log into your account after completing these steps.
*Pandora Premium and Premium Family listeners may need to re-download some of their offline content after this. Pandora Plus users, however, should receive that offline content again automatically. If you have any trouble with your offline stations after this, please let us know.

Device Details:
If the issue continues after clearing your app data, would you mind providing your device details to report to our engineering team ?

@APhaire Thanks for providing your device details, I've shared this with our engineering team. Let me know if clearing the app data helps.
Let me know how it goes. 🎧
Same problem here. Galaxy s8 on Verizon. Turning off my volume before going to bed seems to be the only way not to be woken up. This started happening to me the same day I updated the app to the Sept 29 update.
This has happened to me for the past three nights at 2am. And at the height of Spooky Season it's been especially creepy. Galaxy s8 on Verizon.
Hi, @Lburchell. 👋
Glad to hear those steps helped! If you notice this issue again, please let me know.

Sorry for the trouble with this. I've enabled traces on your individual Pandora accounts.
Would you mind clearing the app data for Pandora using the steps from my post above here?
If the issue continues - could you also provide the requested device details? I can report this to our engineering team.
Let me know how it goes, and whether the steps help. 🎧
This has happened to me as well! Wednesday night twice 12:15 and 4:12am and Thursday night at 12:44am. Pandora turns itself on while on my nightstand. Here is my info:
Samsung Galaxy S20
Verizon
Android version 11
Pandora version 2108.1.1
Wifi
Only pattern is that it waits until we are sleeping. I thought that I forced off the app after the first night, but it was 4am, so I might be mistaken. I haven't listened to Pandora in weeks.
Well, it did it again last night! Sometime around midnight, Pandora started playing, loudly.
My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S10e
Android Version 11
I don't see what version of Pandora I have. I updated it the day or two after the issues began thinking that might be the issue.
Thank you in advance for any help you can give me in resolving this issue.
I forgot to include that I am on cellular data and I just found the version of Pandora: 2108.1.1 Again, thank you for your help in this.

Same issue, app keeps launching itself all day/night. Reinstalling doesn't help nor clearing app data/cache.
Hello! We have been having the same issue sporadically (maybe once every few weeks) up until a few nights ago. It has now been starting up around 2/3am every night for the last 3 nights. It doesn't happen during the day (I work from home so would hear it), we do have it on every evening though.
Galaxy s7, Android version 7.0
No carrier (used on Wi-Fi only for music)
Pandora version 2110.1
I did do the tips above (cleared data & forced stop). Will see if that helps.
My problem is that Pandora starts on its own no matter if my phone is on a table with no one around or other places where no one is near the phone. This has caused major problems in meetings.
Model: Samsung Galaxy A11
Carrie: T-Mobile
Android version: 10
Pandora version:2110.1
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Gary

It worked until tonight when it just turned on. So the "fix" lasted about 2 weeks.
