Replaying Thumbed-Up Song Removes the Thumb

RetSam

Howdy,

I am using Windows and Android apps for Pandora. When replaying a song that has been liked (thumbs up), this song losses 'thumbs up' status automatically.

Thx.

Hi @RetSam! Thanks for posting and that's a quirky bug.

I’ve enabled a trace on your account to help us better understand what’s happening. I'll need to you play Pandora as you normally would.

Also, if possible, can you take a screenshot, a before and after, the song(s) with the thumbs up, and then after you replay it with the thumb missing? I'd appreciate it!

Additionally, can you send over some details about your devices:

Android:

  • Model:
  • Android version (Settings > About Phone):
  • Build number (Settings > About Phone):
  • Android Security Patch Level, if noted on your device (Settings > About Phone):
  • Pandora version:
    • If you can open Pandora, go to Profile, then select Settings. Scroll to the bottom of the screen for the version number.
    • If you can't open Pandora: from Android Home screen > Android Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Find Pandora

Windows:

  1. Make and model of your device;
  2. Mode: Desktop or Tablet?
  3. Pandora version (under Pandora Settings on the bottom left);
  4. Windows version & build.

Thanks for the help!

I've had the same problem ever since I installed the new Pandora desktop Windows program on 12/14/20.  Prior to that, I was using the original desktop program (installed 12/14/16) or browser based interface, which do not exhibit the problem.  The problem occurs with only a fraction of the thumbed-up songs. that are replayed.

Hi there, @BillBraskey. 👋

Sorry to hear this is happening. I’ve enabled a trace on your Pandora account to help us better understand what’s happening. For this trace to be useful, we’ll need you to run through our troubleshooting steps below.

++

First, try resetting the Pandora app from the Help menu (not to worry, we'll keep track of your profile and collection for you). Press Alt on your keyboard to bring up a menu options at the top of the page, then select Help and Reset App Data.

If you're still having issues, try uninstalling and reinstalling using the following steps:

  1. Locate Pandora in your Start Menu, and right-click to reveal an additional menu. Select Uninstall from the dropdown menu. From there, select Pandora from the list and confirm by selecting Uninstall once more.
  2. Next, find our app in the Windows Store on your device. Search for Pandora in the upper right corner and click or tap Get to re-install.

Please note that downloading any application on your devices requires a Microsoft account and password, and it may be a different email address and password than those on your Pandora account.

Also, we do not support Pandora on unofficial OS releases, like preview or developer builds. We only support Pandora on configurations that we have fully tested, so as to ensure the application will work correctly and not cause any problems with functions of the device.

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes. 🎧
