Android Auto: Pandora launches when connected

My Auto-Start is turned off in my pandora app but it still automatically turns on when connecting to Android Auto. I also have the continue to play music function within my Android Auto app turned off. I don't understand why it keeps running.

I also have the issue with it automatically starting in vehicle. I have turned the Bluetooth on then back off to try to fix and it still connects. It is irritating. I keep all my apps updated, phone too.

I cannot try from vehicle because the app is on the phone and there's no access to the app in the truck.

Can you please confirm if you have disabled the Launch from car option in your account settings?

You can disable this functionality using the following steps: 

• Open Pandora.
• Tap Profile.
• Next select the Settings gear in the upper right corner.
• Tap Advanced.
• Under Bluetooth for devices uncheck the box next to Launch from car.

I was able to get the problem resolved several months back. I cannot remember if following these steps is what resolved it, but I checked my settings and they are set in this manner so it is possible that this is the solution that worked.

Turning off notification in the app settings worked for a couple weeks. Then Pandora started coming on by itself, in my car, yet again. It is no longer on my list of apps.

Same thing with my 2024 Cadillac XT6 and S25 - I have disabled Pandora automatic start from Pandora settings and Android settings and it still starts up.
