Every time I start my truck and my phone connects. Pandora turns itself on and begins playing music. I have everything in the app that is auto play turned off. I have no background music on my iPhone and no matter what I do. The app opens itself and begins playing, and you can see the app in the black bubble at the top of the iPhone this is an iPhone 15 Pro Max running iOS 18.3.1. it is very agitating to have to open the app from the top bubble and close it every time the app doesnโt show in the background. It just shows that itโs open in the top black bubble at the very top of every iPhone

Hi @TNDuramax
Welcome to community!
Has this been happening or has Pandora recently started launching on its own when in your truck? Do you connect with only Bluetooth or do you have CarPlay? I also wanted to confirm that Launch From Car is also disabled in your settings. Thanks for the additional information.

This is an ongoing problem for years, and affects Android phones as well. I have actually uninstalled Pandora multiple times from multiple phones because of this. Currently have Galaxy S24 and connect to Android auto via cable and bluetooth. Autoplay is turned off in both Pandora and the Android Auto apps. You can't get to Android Auto settings from the car display anymore. It happens every single time I connect to Android Auto, but never at any other time. After at least 3 years of people complaining about this issue (this is my 3rd complaint), is someone actually working the problem, or am I going to be uninstalling Pandora yet again?

I have autoplay turned off. It happens anytime bluetooth connects. Headphones and my truck I do not use Carplay in my truck but it is there. Its a 2020 duramax. It did the same with Audible the other day. It just pops up in the black status bar at the top of the Iphone 15. I am running iOS18.3.1

Yes It used to happen in my older Duramax too. Its anything with Bluetooth. As soon as my Bluetooth connects it starts playing. I have deleted and reinstalled so many times I cant remember. The app isn't the only one that does it. Last time Audible did the same thing. I have shut everything off I can see. I guess I need to start using Spotify. I hate it because pandora will bring up songs I haven't heard but if its been going on 3 years that's terrible customer service on their end.

Hi @TNDuramax
Just wanted to follow up and let you know that I've passed along your experience to our engineering team for further investigation and added your info to an internal ticket.
I was curious if any of the disabled toggles came back automatically without interaction from you.
Thanks!

I was poking around in some of my phone settings and think I may have fixed the problem. Unfortunately, I have no idea what setting I changed. It was buried somewhere deep.

No I have checked them multiple times they are 100% off and have never come back on. I actually was coming into my office for the company I work for right now. I am the VP of service but I was going into the HR directors office(who is married to our CEO) and pulled my phone out to show her pictures of a wreck one of my employees just had with a company vehicle when Pandora turn itself on and volume was all the way up. Unfortunately it came on and played a song randomly by a rap group here in Memphis which while a obvious classic for the ages is not the song to play even by accident at that moment but nevertheless slob on my knob played for a few seconds before I could get it stopped. So if we could get an answer before I am fired "That be great" -Office Space 1999 gotta site my sourcesMan
I wish you could figure out what you switched because it makes me wanna jump to spotify I would hate to do that Pandora.
