I'm really sorry you're feeling this way.
It’s important to reach out to someone who can support you, whether it’s a friend, family member, or a mental health professional.
If you need immediate help, please consider calling a crisis hotline or seeking professional advice.
You don’t have to go through this alone.

Hey, I find that dark music is the best way to fight depression. Some Atomic Rooster or some Psychedelic music Arthur Brown. I even love some good ole Captain Beefheart. I hope you are better now I just now saw your post. I know it's hard but keep hanging in there.

I am so sorry you feel this way. Its definitely not a good feeling to have no value in life. So I feel your pain. When I have anxiety ( which by the way is all the time lol ) I listen to music that Makes me feel sexy.. It reminds me that I am her....and I am okay.
Then if i feel depressed or scared I listen to Christian music. BC God has us even when we do not feel like it..hope it gets better

Hi @Beliver7887 .
Thanks for sharing and we are happy to have created a safe space for people to share their experiences and to offer support.
It may sound a bit cliche and it is easier said than done, but most times the best thing is to let it go. You cannot control how anyone around you acts or feels, and most of times what they do to you it is a reflection of what they live or see on other spaces, and that's something they need to work on their end.
The only thing you can do when someone is mean to you is work on your own feelings and thoughts. If you are in peace with yourself you won't be bothered and if they cannot get a reaction from you, most times they will leave you alone. Also please remember that if you feel unsafe or uncomfortable on a space it is important to tell this to someone you can trust and if needed seek for support and if necessary and possible remove yourself from the situation. Your safety and well being are always first.
Also please remember that if you (or anyone you know or anyone who's reading this thread) ever needs a little extra emotional support, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 1-800-273-TALK. We encourage you to use Lifeline. The call is free and confidential and crisis workers are there 24/7 to assist.

@Beliver7887 I echo what @MariaPandora has stated...
As your life ages you will come to know this very fact, not everyone you come across in life will like you...No matter how much you do for them, or how well you speak of them there will always be those who will not like you no matter what... That is just how life is, is it harsh ? Yes!! Is it cruel? Yes!! Is it unfair? Well, it certainly can seem that way at times...
This is what I do, I ignore those who are negative in my life, I just let them have their tantrum while I continue doing what I do... Does it work? Yes, it does... When that person or persons realize you are ignoring their immature behavior they will become even more enraged and move on to something else... Always remember this as well, never stoop to their level of immaturity, there is an old saying that I heard a very wise man say to me a long time ago... If you fight fire with fire the flame will always keep burning, if you leave it alone it will go out on it's own...
Have a great Christmas and a very Happy and safe New Year as well...
Take care and GOD bless...

Well you're on a music app. My favorite coping mechanism is blasting my favorite songs and just relaxing. Take some deep breaths and see the beauty of His creation around you 🙂 [BTW this works best outside where you can actually see His creation 😁]

unironically i would say 80s john hughes type rom com soundtracks -- right now i am listening to erasure radio and it plays that kind of music the best cliche 80s
if you are really not doing well, then i would say listen to Sorrow by Kekht Arakh the screaming helps when you feel like you literally can't and the world is crashing and burning (literally in LA) i have a whole playlist on spotify of just screaming and synths its very dark wave goth but not as extreme as, like richmond avenal music like Cradle of filth ❤️ hope this helps and i pray you feel better! everything is temporary -- even life -- you will survive you got this!!!! i prolly wont tho haha

Hey, @Speedcuber. 👋
I haven't seen you around in awhile - welcome back. I moved your post over to this thread so you can check out what other community friends have suggested.
Thank you for sharing what you’re going through. It takes courage to open up, especially during difficult times. Whenever things feel heavy, please know support is always there. Lifeline is available anytime at 1-800-273-TALK (8255) or text HOME to 741741 to connect with someone who can help.
We’re grateful for this community where people can support each other and connect — especially through music. Music can be incredibly healing, with a way of holding space for our emotions when words fall short.
Here are a few songs I listen to when I'm going through tough times:
- Falling Short by Låpsley
- Know That You Are Loved by Cleo Sol
- Firm Foundation (He Won't) by Maverick City Music - not sure if you like Christian music but that's always a go-to for me during hard times.
Hope the music helps brighten your mood and brings some comfort. Sending good vibes your way! 💛
