Indeed pandora has improved its service level. However it has a kind of problem that soundcloud doesn't.And that is soundcloud is far more flexible about adding the newest songs that are made.while on pandora it might take years for any kind of improvement.
Excuse me, guys. What about a 1940s Hits radio station on Pandora Radio? This possibly plays the 1940s, earlier and even beyond popular music of the same sounds. Do you think?
Please add the music that is curated and played by Gilles Peterson on BBC 6 Music as well as his radio station Worldwide FM. I see you already have a number of his Brownswood Bubblers Compilation albums among others. It would be great to expand on that. Gilles Peterson is a great resource for R&B, Raregroove, House, Hiphop, Soul, Latin and Brazilian music. For Rock Music and Popular Music, kindly add music from John Peel's playlist and record collection. The more music we could dig from the playlists of these amazing DJs, Pandora and its listeners would benefit from this resource. Thanks!
The album Tengo Tengo (1992) by Chico and the Gypsies is - your description names a different album as their debut but this is actually their first one after the lead left The Gypsy Kings.
(During this coronavirus social distancing I'm going through my old tapes and making Pandora playlists from them - and I can't find the song Feelings by them anywhere on Pandora)
My favorite "Radio" is Johnny A BUT he has three albums out and you only have one available. You're missing "Driven" and "Sometime Tuesday Morning." With only one album available the station tends to get repetitive quickly. The other albums would certainly be appreciated.
@mjtay If you have any specific songs or albums you'd like to suggest by those artists, feel free to let us know and we can forward those to our curation team as well.
Thanks for the suggestions! @mjtay
Mod tip: If you're not interested in hearing Stevie that much, thumb some of her songs down. This way Pandora learns you want less of her. You can always edit the thumbs on the station if you'd like to bring her back.
I am delighted to see that you have Mari Boine and Ánde Somby, but there are so many other amazing Sámi musicians out there. I would especially love to see Sofia Jannok added.
