I find that this is true about hakf the time
Sorry meant to say half the time
Its ok spelling mistakes happen lol. For me I think its true. I never understand it
@Brynlie, I agree, and here is one album that can prove part of your theory.
Pieces Of You album by Jewel.
The album’s two monster singles — You Were Meant for Me and Foolish Games — became record‑breaking hits, while the song Pieces of You stayed a deep cut. The stats tell the story:
Combined Stats: “You Were Meant for Me” / “Foolish Games” (Double A‑Side Single)
Peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100,
65 weeks on the Hot 100 — at the time, the longest chart run in history
#1 on Adult Contemporary
Certified Platinum
Became one of the best‑selling singles of the 1990s
Drove the album to 12× Platinum status.
Meanwhile… the title track “Pieces of You”
Never released as a major single
No chart impact
Remains a fan‑favorite deep cut, but not a commercial hit.
Take care, and GOD bless.
My mostly listening song on Pandora are civ or sleepy hollow
I would have to agree as far as it saying it is rarely “The Best” song. It’s probably the most catchy song or the song that has the best ability to have a certain affect on you no matter what. Like changing your mood at hard times or forcing you to sing along or snap your fingers or whatever even when you don’t want to. I would have to say that usually the best song on any given album is one of the hidden gems or one of least popular ones IMO. I always seem to rank the albums best song and that song is usually one of the least played or least popular. My opinion hasn’t ever been too popular and that is just fine with me. 👌
Not the MOST on topic, but I find that most songs that people find popular by people I listen to hapen to be ones that the band/artist themselves dislike. For example, Drag Path by Twengy One Pilots, Sail by AWOLNATION, etc.
