Error Message: Automatic Playback is Disabled

On the Rise

Hi Adam, it seems as if my problems have gone away.   I can now get the window for adding photos,  I don't know what happened the problem of the icon for Continuous Playing also seems to have fixed itself.    I did get this message when I tried to reply to your last post .

(Your post has been changed because invalid HTML was found in the message body. The invalid HTML has been removed. Please review the message and submit the message when you are satisfied.)

As far I could tell the message looked just the same, so I don't know what was removed but anyway adding a pic seems to working so maybe that is what fixed it.  Gremlins lol        I do have this other problem which keeps cropping up.   I keep on getting this message about Auto Play being disabled even though I have enabled it.   I will add the two screen shots showing this.

@daleslad I moved this message into the Desktop space since you are now running into a separate issue.

To clarify, what browser are you using?

Does that error message pop up when you stream Pandora on a separate browser?

Let me know.

No I only use Safari now as Pandora will  not work properly on Chrome.     Today I opened up Pandora for the first time and the music started playing right away.   I did not get the error pop up about playback being disabled this time.   However just to keep things interesting I  did get the  "Someone else is listening to your Pandora account"  Popup.   I checked both of my iphones and they were turned off.  I only have the 3 devices with my Pandora account on and that is 2 iphones and my desktop computer.

@daleslad Thanks for following up with that information.

Automatic playback is disabled error message:

Glad to hear that error message is no longer appearing when you attempt to stream Pandora on your computer.

If it does pop up again in the future, please make sure to reply back to this thread and let us know.

Someone else is listening error message:

To resolve this, I've gone ahead and removed all the devices associated with your Pandora account. This will automatically sign you out everywhere including any devices you currently have, so you will need to sign back in once this change takes effect. Please be patient as this may not happen instantaneously.

If you haven't already, I would also recommend changing your password.

Click here to request a password reset and make sure to enter the email address associated with the Pandora account you'd like to access.

  • Next check the Inbox associated with that email address in order to continue through the password reset process.
  • If you don't see the message in your Inbox, please check your Spam or Junk folder.

If you continue to have trouble, let me know.

Adam it's been 16 hours since you disconnected my two iPhones and I still can't sign back in.   I don't have any Playlists, nothing I click on will work.   This is not good having to wait this long,  if I'd known you were going to remove my devices I would have not let you do it.

@daleslad You should be able to access your account as long as you are using the correct password and email address.

In the meantime, I have created a ticket with our support team for you.

They will be contacting you privately via email to help look into this further, so please keep an eye out for their message.

Thanks for your patience!

I got it figured out Adam,  I had to close the  Pandora application on one of my iPhones, when I opened it up again it was asking for my sign in information.  Once I'd entered the information everything was working just fine.
