Pressing Space Repeats Last Thumb Action + Pauses

If I do the following in Firefox:

1. Start listening to a station
2. Click the "Thumbs Down" button at the bottom of the page
3. Wait for the next song to start playing
4. Press spacebar

then Pandora interprets my space as pressing "Thumbs Down" on the second song! I expected space to pause, like in most music apps and like Pandora does if I haven't recently clicked any thumbs.

I'm using Pandora (web) in Firefox 89.0b9 on macOS 11.3.1

This is probably related to the thumbs down button having focus (invisibly) after being clicked. But somehow that's only a problem in Firefox. If I use Chrome instead, spacebar only pauses (and focused thumbs buttons only react to pressing Enter).
