Ability to Adjust Home Screen in App / Remove "For You" Tab

It was suggested by a moderator in community that I submit the option to set our own home screen. My original question was whether or not I could turn the For You tab off, which I can't. So my suggestion is that allow users to set which tab opens for them at application launch in the advanced settings via the app. I, personally, would have this set to Your Collections as the For You tab does nothing but get in the way of me using the application. Or - you could give us the option of which tabs we can turn on/off and reorder them similar to the drag and drop function of the android and AppleIOS systems.

Please give this some consideration.

Hi @J3sk4D4wn thanks for the helpful feedback on the 'For You' section of the app. This is a great idea, thanks for taking the time to let us know. We appreciate you!🎧

Yes, the for you feature is a POX on my driving.

The reason I have Pandora on my android is for hands free or nearly hands free.

  •  The for you feature ensures my eyes, my hands and full attention is given to and only to the app. For the time it takes to really cause damage on the road. End this ridiculous feature please.

Hey there, @Angryslug. 👋

I completely understand where you're coming from.

I moved your post over to this feature request as it appear this would be something you're interested in having implemented.

Thanks so much for your feedback, and for posting on the community! 🎼

please remove or allow a user adjust to have to see the  "for you" tab. It does nothing for me, I have been a Pandora premium member for many years...

I can see Pandora is very concerned since this was originally posted 8 MONTHS AGO!

And still... when I use Pandora on my desktop, I can roll my eyes and get ride of the idiotic "for you" info that has NEVER YET AT ANY TIME LISTED ANYTHING I WAS REMOTELY INTERESTED IN.  But when I'm using it as a 3rd party app on my TV, there is NO way to get rid of it, and it begins playing the stuff I DON'T WANT!

Seriously, paying over $100 per year to be forced to listen to someone else's idea of what's good is beyond ridiculous.

Please FIX this!

I endorse this suggestion 100%  It is infuriating that this sort of thing should be a required piece of additional clutter on an already annoyingly cluttered UI - the whole point of Pandora, as I recall, is to create stations FOR ONESELF, by examples that serve as input to an algorithm.  The whole "for you" concept is heavy-handed and overbearing.  Don't even get me started on "modes".  I'm on the brink of ditching my paid subscription because of how goofy the mobile app is.  Ads are far less intrusive than the things that the kids in your employ consider "features".  (Yeah, I'm a grumpy old SW developer, you guessed right.)

Let me configure what I want to see on my home screen. Since the essence of music is diversity in thinking and art, remove the totalitarian approach of compelling me to see promotional content on the "For You" screen (de facto home screen). As a "premium" customer this is completely baffling to me. This is especially true of politically-motivated and propagandistic messaging through playlists and podcasts. I don't want my music experience cheapened by being forced to see political slogans.
