Ideas: Pandora app for Garmin

Is there a plan to develop an app for Garmin devices?  There is a significant number of runners that would want this support.

Hey, @Chopath. 👋

I moved your post over to the Feature Request board to keep the community organized. I'm sure others would be interested in this option as you've mentioned.

In the meantime, the devices we currently support can be found here.

Be sure to search for your suggestion on the main Feature Request page, and click on the ❤️icon next to the title to express your interest.

Thanks for posting on the community!  🎶

I agree with this. Especially now with Pandora Premium, the ability to download your own playlists now make the concept of Pandora on Garmin an even more appealing idea. I would also think that the demographics of Pandora users would align well with Garmin users as well.

Please please! I just bought a Garmin Music and didn't realize I couldn't add my Pandora faves. Such a disappointment! Can we get an update from Pandora on whether this is under consideration?

Please make Pandora compatible with Garmin! I love Pandora and don't want to be forced to switch to Spotify when I get my new Garmin watch!

+1 for this feature.  I really hate spotify, but I REALLY need my music on a run or bike-ride.

Please cut a deal with Garmin. I got rid of Spotify, Itunes, I Heart radio and Sound Hound and listen to Pandora exclusively. Please figure this out so I dont have to go back to those Apps. Yall got it dialed in.

Not sure where Pandora is with Garmin, but the bigger problem is making music available offline with various listening devices, e.g. pcs, tablets, phones, smart watches, etc. I know this has copyright implications, but it is also the reality of the modern world. Pandora and Garmin need to figure this out. Maybe the seismic change is copyright laws. I note that Garmin allows Amazon music as well as a Spotify app. These are two big players as well as smaller Deezer and iHEARTradio. But the disconnect is in an industry standard so that Apple Music and Pandora Users can also use their music app to play music on their smart watch or other device. Pandora is limited to its interplay, but does have an app for the Apple iWatch but not for Garmin watches. So Pandora plays with Apple and Garmin plays with Spotify and Amazon, but Pandora and Garmin do not play well together (except for lesser Fitbit devices).

Pandora: this lack of coordination with Garmin is about to persuade me to go to Spotify for play on Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music watch. Something has to happen here. Not sure if problem is with Garmin or Pandora but as noted previously the real problem is licensing and law that allows or compels such segmentation of market. But in the meantime people like me will likely change music provider after buying devices for which Pandora does not provide compatibility.

I just bought a new Garmin device and was disappointed to see that Pandora doesn't support it. So I guess I'll have to switch to Spotify.
