One of the most stalwart and long-lasting figures in folk music, Ramblin' Jack Elliott traveled with Woody Guthrie and got his nickname from the mother of fellow folk legend Odetta. In addition to being a central player in the folk revival, Elliott brought his signature style of cowboy folk to the hip coffee houses and folk dens of New York. He's influenced everyone from Bob Dylan and the Grateful Dead to the Rolling Stones and Merle Haggard.
