Anyone else find it offensive that Morgan Wallen was removed, but yet we still have all these explicit songs that play on this platform...
I am highly upset over this, our rights are being taken away one by one....
Yep. I emailed them about it, and told them that if they’re not going to restore his rights, then I’m going to cancel my subscription. I don’t agree with Michael Jackson who molested children, but I still enjoy his music, or rappers who have murdered people or sexually assault women, but I still listen to their music. It’s BS
Absolutely infuriating!! Who are they to tell us who we can and can’t listen to based on the artists’ personal life! If we were going solely on that, 90% of these artists would be banned. And the fact that they still allow music porn (WAP) on Pandora is absolutely sickening!
Why has all of his music been removed. I have used pandora since it first came out and I am so so unhappy-infuriated with this decision to remove his music due to a phrase he said. I don’t care who it offended. I hear the n word 40 times in songs yet you don’t remove them? It’s socially acceptable for a black person to say it because it’s their “culture” but when a, clearly intoxicated, white man says the word, we have to cancel him. So it’s okay for black rappers to profit from the use of this n word? Your company supports that? What is wrong with you pandora? Are you trying to get rid of your lifetime members? If you don’t bring Morgan back, I am deleting my account and never using your services again. You have a week.
I 100% do not support cancel culture. The decision to block or remove an artist should be the option of the individual users. Anyone too offended to listen to his music or that wants to boycot him should do that via their own settings.
If I didn’t want to hear a Morgan Wallen song I’d change the station or forward to the next song. I pay for my Pandora radio subscription. I should have that option to do as I choose and listen to the music I choose to listen to. I agree that word is an ugly ugly word used loosely. However, there are many songs with ugly words/lyrics used that promote violence and are derogatory to women (Eazy-E, NWA) and are STILL BEING OFFERED ON PANDORA. But like I said if there was someone or something I didn’t want to see on television or something I didn’t agree with I would simply change the channel. The hypocrisy is outrageous. Pandora subscription canceled without giving them the opportunity to fix the matter, just like they canceled Morgan Wallen without giving him the benefit of the doubt. I encourage all who agree to do the same thing. Pretty sure when it hits the pocketbook, Pandora will start to pay attention.
I've been a paying customer for years and heard some really awful songs by people that are offensive, disrespectful and totally against my standards. If I didn't want to hear them, I skipped it. Morgan Wallen has some great music that I can apply to my life to help get through my day. Not saying I condone his actions, but I've heard other artists say wayyyyy worse. The fact that Pandora is choosing to remove him, but keeping trashy artists is really $#!++¥. Think I'll be going to YouTube.
-Loyal paying customer
ALL songs that use that word should be pulled. It can’t be taught that one person can use racial slurs but another can’t. Outrageous and disgusting. I’ll just purchase YouTube premium instead of renewing my Pandora subscription.
Exactly! They still play music today whose artists did horrible things and behavior. But going to remove Morgan for this! This is just stupid! My kids love listening to Morgan Wallen. I’ve always like pandora, but after this I’m deleting it!
Honestly! Why??? His music makes me happy and bring joy to my otherwise long dull work day. You’re punishing the listeners. Won’t use Pandora until I can listen to Morgan again. 😞
Please put Morgan Wallen back on!
I can’t believe it’s ok and acceptable to play some music that is vulgar and offensive, but you will not play good country music. Put Morgan Wallen back on.
If you don’t like him don’t listen to him, but the rest of us like him. Put him back on.
