For the last week or so every time I turn on Pandora (phone and desktop) it shuffles in the same order. To the point that I can call what the next genre is going to be. It starts with 90s country, then Tom Petty, then 90s Pop, then Beatles, etc. How do I fix this? It's driving me crazy! I have probably close to 100 stations on my shuffle and it keeps going in the same order. every. time...
I am having the same problem in shuffle mode of my 100+ stations.
On my desktop with Chrome I have logged-out, cleared the cache, cookies, history, etc.
Nothing is helping.
In over 10 years with Pandora this has never been a problem.
I do not want to spend my time managing my music with thumbs up/thumbs down or creating playlists.
I have created my stations and the shuffle should work.
I am getting the exact same sequence of artists every time.
Can Pandora provide any advice as to when this will be fixed?

If you remember we had the same issue last year (April 2021) about the Shuffle algorithm being messed up and only shuffling through a set of repetitive stations regardless of the number of stations one has in a shuffle (I have hundreds of stations that I select/curate). As others mention here, this is happening again — both on the iPhone app and on the website. The problem is the exact same as last time. So maybe the solution will be the same! The problem went away after you advanced it to the engineers last year; so perhaps the same thing has happened again and they will be able to fix it the same way. Thanks for all of your help here. Pandora has a loyal user base as you know. I pay for a subscription because Pandora's shuffle feature far surpasses any of the other streaming options — like, lightyears more sophisticated. Unless the algorithm malfunctions. 🙂 thanks!

I too am having this issue. It happens on my phone, any app, my computer, online. It shuffles through all the same stations over and over again. I try skipping through but it just pushes on to the next station on the list. One thing I have noticed is that I used to have a quickmix station but oddly enough I can't find it anywhere and can't figure out how to make a new one. Every time I click custom in my collection it checks play all. If I click play all it checks custom but either one is the same. I hope this gets fixed soon.

any time start pandora, the shuffle feature plays the same 5 or 6 bands in the same order it different songs but the same order of bands, this is on both my android phone and on my computer, i even uninstalled and reinstalled app on my phone so it is something on your side

Same. And this is a brand new problem -- you'll notice the dates of these posts. I mean, I really like Suzanne Santo, but she is now ALWAYS the very first musician when I open up Pandora.
You must have changed something!
None of those solutions will work as i have all my stations marked for shuffle, my issue isn't that it's the same type of music as stated the app will play the same 4 to 5 bands in the same order (but different songs for those bands) when i start the app

Deleting the cache on mobile is a temporary fix, but the problem will quickly reassert itself.
Experiencing the same issue since Wednesday as well. Shuffle will shuffle the stations, but always in the same order. This is on a Windows platform.

I thought I was losing my mind and had messed something up in a setting somewhere. I’m getting Taylor Swift, Korn, Dr Dre, and classical in that order every time. Hope there is a resolution soon since I noticed it a few weeks ago.

I just tried the shuffle this AM. It looks like I am getting a different station pattern than what I have previously seen. Was this resolved by engineering?
I just tried mine, and I’m getting a pleasant variety, too! I hope whatever changed sticks around.
Looks like mine too! My first was 90s country... I just clicked shuffle and it started off with 2pac!
