@Rodwon98 @Mel2159 I'd like to gather more information.

Can you tell me a bit more about the advertising you are seeing?

  • Is it for a specific brand or artist?
  • Or are you hearing them while listening to podcasts?

What is the make and model of the mobile phone device used to unlock the ad-free radio weekend?

When you experienced this were you using a different device than the one originally used to unlock the weekend? If so, what is the make and model of that device?

I appreciate your help with this.

Hi Alyssa,

You provided me this thread from another community board I posted a question about regarding Thomas Rhett and the listening room.   Like others here as I mentioned to you, for two weekends now, after watching the intro video add for T-Mobile users, I am hearing ads frequently, this past Saturday as already reported they were from Taco Bell.  After I reported this to Pandora this past Saturday it was Ulises, a Support Specialist who sent me an email with the same questions as posted above, I replied back answering each question. Here is the case / ref info from my email ref:_00D301WOu._5001W1n4FmA:ref

I hope Pandora is not using T-Mobile customers who redeemed this offer via the T-Mobile Tuesdays app for special Tuesday selections and ad-free weekends simply to bring in more customers without honoring what was being offered for the next year, ad-free weekends, which we are not getting.  I hope this is fixed for this coming weekend going forward.  Should not be hard to link our T-Mobile number that I linked with my existing Pandora Free account.

@Paddler4x I do see you have an open case with our support team regarding this issue.

Please keep an eye out for their next email reply, and they will be happy to further assist.

Thanks for being a part of the Community!

Thanks Adam, my last email was only yesterday and won't be able to test if this was fixed till this Saturday so I'll be patient while you all there at Pandora figure out what is broken so it can be fixed for T-Mobile customers who redeemed this offer recently.

I have another question unrelated to this thread so I will search the community boards to find the most appropriate one.  Again, thanks.   BTW, I already had Pandora linked to my Amazon Alexa app and have made it the default in the three different categories replacing Amazon Music.

BTW, @AlyssaPandora thanks for the link of Pandora + Alexa Voice Commands

I’ve successfully added the ad-free weekend offer but I’m still getting ads every few songs when I’m playing a station. What exactly is ad-free?

I actually purchased Pandora Plus because it was annoying me that I kept getting commercials. Once my subscription ends, if I have the same issue, I will respond to this thread. Thank you!

I unlocked from T-Mobile app on this device. I’m trying to listen on this device. Getting ads every few songs.  FWIW, it’s a variety of ads.  It’s been the cold wash thing, a doc broken bone website, a cable company, and other things...

I think I figured it out today. I went through the T-Mobile app and used the offer to open pandora today and I got no ads on the station I regularly listen to. I think you may need to use the offer every weekend maybe.  I assumed it would be a use once and get ad-free weekends the rest of the year. Guess not.

Adam,

Like many other users, we are getting ads during our add-free weekend.  We started the ad-free weekend from an iphone 7 and we are casting to a Sonos Play 1 speaker.  Is it a problem with casting?  Sound quality is so much better when we cast.

Hi, @GregAndTina. 👋

I do see that you have redeemed this offer for the T-Mobile Ad-Free Weekend on the account associated with your community profile.

In order to receive ad-free music on your Sonos device, you will need to verify that you're logged into your upgraded account within the Sonos app.

From your mobile device, open the Sonos app and go to Settings, then My Services. Select Pandora from this list and verify that you're signed in with the above email address. If not, sign out, then sign back in with the upgraded account.

From a computer, go to the Sonos app and click Manage, then Service Settings. Select Pandora, then click Edit (on a Mac this is represented by a small gear), and select Change Password to confirm you are using the correct account info. If not, sign out, then sign back in with the upgraded account.

If you are still seeing ads after confirming you are logged in with the correct address, can you tell me a bit more about the advertising you are seeing?

Is it for a specific brand or artist? Are you hearing them while listening to podcasts?

Let me know. 🎧
