Man, today has been TERRIBLE. I swear the algo is supplying aritsts I don't want to hear. Anyone else get the issue when you downvote a song/artist they start popping up more and more??? I think I just downvoted the entire Wallflwoers album with 6th avenue on it. ALL these artists I specifically downvote are now showing up more than ever!!!! Reload or sideload an older version of Pandora then lock it from updating. That's what I had to do. Even then occasionally that setting seems to just not F'ing apply and the app updates.  I have to go back and re-install the side load copy. So this is STILL be asked for and I don't see much movement? Does Pandora actually listen to its subscribers? I would love nothing more than to block some artists that pop up all over my feeds. Hell, anymore, it seems the algo just spews all my music thumbs up across all **ahem** channels. I don't have much distinction between listening to Minor Threat or Mark Knopfler. They're not, man. The problems we are experiencing have already been forgotten by the people that made the decision to break it!! LOL Un-install it and go with the older version linked further up thread. Following that, make sure to set Pandora not to automatically update (that is also in the thread). Only way we will get traction is by pestering advertisers on Pandora's network with boycotts and the reason why. Only problem is, we are a minority with a technical issue. Nothing woke here. Thanks for the post. I have checked two different model phones. Both already had the correct nearby setting. Neither worked until I once again backed off the Pandora release to an older version as noted far, far upstream at this point. Just an FYI for others, the "Settings > Apps > Pandora > Permissions and select Nearby Devices" Was already applied to my configuration prior to the new release (back a few months) removing/breaking connectivity. Not downplaying others contributions, just sparing ant remaining hair for those still trying. I am still on a deprecated version of Pandora that I don't allow to update.  Isn't that special. ... That isa good and reasonable approach. If Pandora follows Spotify's suit and discontinues, fine. I do understand deprecating technology. But FFS, manage it better. As you pointed out, as part of these releases there should have been much better communications. Oh well. I'm looking at a complete tech refresh at this point. From pocket, to auto to home. They don't care. 284 replies in this thread against how many using Pandora "today"? Its been going on this long with absolutely nothing by way of resolution and piss poor communication. We have one maybe 2 dudes doing Pandora damage control, and a poor job at that. Its time to admit, you have to run permanently on a deprecated version that PANDORA broke AND you will be payinf for it unless you want to go back to 3 commercials and 3 songs over and over and over, OR, get an Android Auto head unit for your car (costs MORE money) or ditch Pandora and go back to Spotify. I actually cancelled Spotify in favor of Pandora./ Was a **ahem** fool.   But bottom line, 100%, Pandora dev's and management DO NOT GIVE A **ahem** ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. I'm a premium member and I can assure Pandora that it will not be renewed. Samsung S10, receives all updates.  Pandora, where can I find an older APK installer that predates this problem? I'm on premium specifically to use Pandora in my car.
