I hate the new configuration. How do I edit explicit now on mobile app?
Moderator Edit: Changed title for clarity

Explicit Filter:
You can set the explicit filter either on the web or from your Android device.
Enabling this filter will limit Pandora to playing music that could play on daytime broadcast radio. Note that this can only be applied to the entire account and not specific stations. Also, it doesn't apply to podcasts. You can identify podcasts with explicit language by a red "E" label in the episode title.
To set the filter on your Android device, first open the Pandora app and go to the Profile tab. Next tap on the Settings gear and then Account.
Once you are in the account screen, you can change the Allow Explicit Content to off to filter explicit content (toggle on if you wish to allow explicit content).
Once set, this will restrict explicit content for that account on all devices.
Hope this helps!

Is there a way to restrict explicit content only on certain of my stations?
Or is it only an all-or-nothing setting?
@DavidAUM Unfortunately, there isn't currently a way to set the Explicit Filter on a per-station basis.
However, feel free to create a Feature Request for your suggestion here.
Hope we continue to see you around the community! 🎧

I've had my explicit content set to off for quite a while, yet it still plays explicit songs. What's the fix?
Hi there, @frnbwmn. 👋
Sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your explicit filter.
I've reported your issue to our User Support team. A specialist will be in touch with you via email to see what's happening with your account and filter.
Thanks so much for posting on the community! 🎼
Same. Every few months I try to restrict Pandora. Now I can't even turn the setting to NO EXPLICIT CONTENT. My only options are Explicit allowed, or Explicit allowed with password. I'm ready to leave Pandora forever. It's not worth it. You are exposing my small child to terrible and damaging things. Shame on you.
Hey there, @porchlight. 👋
I'm very sorry to hear that you're having issues with the explicit filter. I definitely understand the impact this can have on your listening sessions especially with your child.
I've gone ahead and checked your account via our User Support team. Your account has the explicit filter enabled -- meaning you *should not* receive any explicit content when listening. To clarify, if you were to enter your password and click on the icon -- it would allow you to experience uncensored tunes.

There is also a thread in the My Collection board of the community where other listeners have run into similar issues: Explicit Content filter is not working
In the meantime, could you provide further details about what is happening?
Let me know, and I can take a deeper look to see what's going on for you.
How do I private message you - or can you just email me?
Can I block entire genres of music? I'm not the one listening. My 1st grader gets on it via Alexa - it's driving us nuts and impossible to control, other than unplugging Alexa. The main problem is Pandora use.
@porchlight Yes! Per your request, a member from our User Support team has reached out to you via email to offer further assistance with this.
If you don't see the email shortly, please check your spam / junk folder to make sure it didn't end up there. 📬
Appreciate your patience!
Is there a setting for just playing the edited version of songs

If i wanted to listen to filthy language i could go to the nearest filthy bar, I certainly would not take family members and children.
How can I turn off songs with swearing?

How can I put a filter on explicit content for just a period of time like for work purpose?
@Bownec I moved your post over to this existing thread: How to Set Explicit Filter on mobile app
While there isn't a way to set a timer on your Explicit Filter, what you can do is manually enable the filter while you are work, and then disable it when you lave.

Why is it that if I have the explicit filter turned off, I'm still seeing an ad for an explicit song? I pay for Pandora so I don't get ads because I work with kids who have been sexually abused and it's absolutely not okay for there to be anything explicit to EVER come up on my screen, even a song title.
@CeceSings To clarify, do explicit songs still play on your stations?
Or are you receiving explicit advertisements?
In the meantime, I've enabled a trace on your account so we can get a better idea of what is happening. The next time this happens, please send me a screenshot of what you are seeing.
Thanks for working with me on this. 🤝
