I have the same problem with my Samsung 24 Android connecting to my 2014 Mazda CX-5. Is there a solution??

Hi @PandyJoan

Sorry to hear this is happening!

Can you tell me more about your experience. Does the ad play, then playback stops, or does it stop before the ad plays?

Does it appear to freeze or can you select another station and it continues to play?

What is your OS version and Pandora version?

Thanks for the additional info!

Hi Tanner,

See answers to your questions below.

Sometimes the ad plays for a bit and then it's disconnected. Sometimes it
disconnects between two ads. Sometimes it gets disconnected just as the ad
begins.

The phone just gets disconnected from the app on my car stereo and I get a
message to reconnect again. I usually don't need to re-pair Bluetooth with
my car, but just to reconnect with Pandora again. Because of this I can't
connect to any station because it's totally disconnected from Pandora.

I just uninstalled/reinstalled the Pandora app (2409.1 version) but haven't
driven it yet to test it out.

My OS is Android version 14, One UI version 6.1

Thanks for the follow up, @PandyJoan. Very helpful information that I can share with our engineering team.

Do you have option to connect with a wired connection in your vehicle? If so, I'd like to see if you have the same experience when connected directly.

Thanks again!

Unfortunately, I don't have the option to connect with a wired connection in my vehicle. Do you think my car sound system's interface app needs to be updated somehow? I have a Pandora tab on my car sound system menu.

Hi @PandyJoan

Does the tab say PandoraLink or just Pandora?  Would you be able to share a picture of what you're seeing?

You can attach photos directly here in the thread. This is best done through a mobile or web browser. You won't be able to attach pictures through the email notification you may receive.

In the meantime, I would recommend checking for updates to the Pandora on app directly on your phone. Here's how to check if an update is available:

  • Open the Google Play store app.
  • Tap the profile icon in the top right corner.
  • Tap Manage apps & device.
  • Then tap Manage and scroll to Pandora.
  • Tap update.

Tip: In some cases, you may need to restart your device to update an app.

Thanks for the additional help!

I have a picture of my stereo system's Pandora tab, but can't seem to find a way to upload it here. (I only see an add link icon.) This is what it looks like before I open my Pandora app on my phone, which is by the way up to date. This is also what I see when it disconnects during a commercial, then it tries to reconnect again, automatically most times.

Thanks for sharing, @PandyJoan! This is very helpful.

Unfortunately, I don't have any troubleshooting steps that I believe would help resolve this immediately. I have gone ahead and passed your information and photos along to our engineering team for further review and investigation. In the meantime, while understandably not ideal, I recommend using the Bluetooth tab to listen to Pandora.

Thanks for your patience!
