What the difference between Spotify and Pandora?

I was just wondering what the difference between Spotify and Pandora? What makes Pandora better than Spotify and what makes Spotify better than Pandora?

It's killing me that Spotify is available in AAOS on my Volvo and Pandora isn't. I've been a faithful Pandora listener for years, but with an AAOS-powered car now, I'm going to have to switch soon if Pandora doesn't get an app available.

Pandora has been a favourite of mine for years. Its algorithm for mixing and radio feature is far superior to Spotify. I love it. I use a service such as Soundizz to move my Pandora favourites (thumbs) to Tidal Hifi for more serious listening on hifi equipment. For general listening, Pandora is my go to! Enjoy.

The ability to "thumbs down" and "thumbs up" a track is unique to Pandora.  Pandora gives the best listening experience without anywhere near the amount of work, seems to know what I like before I do.  It might be why it's still viable compared to other services, such as Tidal, where the sounds is WAY better.  WAY WAY BETTER DID YOU HEAR THAT PANDORA?  Oh wait, you asked about Spotify; I find it irritating.

My comment is not related to differences between Spotify and Pandora, it is about sound quality and the fact that many listeners like everything about Pandora but the relatively low quality streaming.

I would say that I prefer Pandora’s algorithms by far. Sound quality is excellent but what has set Pandora apart for me is that their algorithms have introduced me to other music that I have never heard before but contained components that I enjoy. You can even query why Pandora selected a certain piece and it will give a synopsis as to why. So I am now following other artists that I had never heard before.

Pandora however gets overall more time from me, as I use it to keep a constant stream of specific music while I work. It's more set-it-and-forget-it. Yes, indeed. Bad ad is an extremely big problem now. And it's even worse now. For example, you can't watch YouTube without ad blockers or a paid subscription. Advertising on services like Spotify is a complete disappointment.
