It would nice to have a small EQ in the app that allows adjustment to the music, so one can pump up the bass or other frequency, compensate for older music that has not been remastered.
OK, then I retract my statement of trying to compromise and getting something rather than nothing. Let's have a 10 band EQ ! Please, PANDORA, we've been asking nicely for many years. Pandora, Would you at least respond to our reasonable requests and tell us why you're not doing it ?
I’m not expecting anything from Pandora. Their long silence has been very disappointing. Their lame excuse of not wanting to change the music is, well, just lame.
ECHOING this, an editable EQ for new stations in the basic settings, AND an editable EQ for specific stations. Some stations need more bass because it’s prevalent in the genre, but can be too much in pop music. please!!
To say 'we only play music as the "artist" intends'-- read: the label, not necessarily the artist themselves–– is a disingenuous hill to stand on. Unless the recording is purely a cappella or acoustic, without any amplification of any kind, such as choral or chamber music, then replicating the original intent of the produced song is virtually impossible. And, in the case of a streaming service, replicating the purity of that a cappella or acoustic piece will be lost anyway.
So, all disengenuousness aside, what gives, Pandora? Give us HD and an equalizer. We pay a lot for your service. Please respond with commensurate service.
How is this Still Not A Thing. We need an EQ, not for changing the music as it was recorded but for compensating for the devices we listen through. My BT speaker is not properly EQ'd compared to my home hi-fi. It's as simple as that. Get with the Times Pandora!
I'm enjoying Spotify for now - they have a very good EQ feature. However Pandora's Music Genome Project does a better job of curating and delivering the music I like and might be interested in. If Pandora would up their game with an equally good EQ feature I'd be back. Until then, I'm voting with my wallet.
