iOS: Volume Control on iPad Don't Work with Speaker

I used to be able to control the volume on the Pandora app with the buttons on the iPad. Now they have no effect and I can't find any volume control in the app, This leaves me only the controls on the Bluetooth speaker which is on the other side of the room. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi there, @ssif21. 👋

Thanks for your post about the volume control.

You should be able to control the volume from your iPad and/or your speaker device (depending on the settings). I would recommend checking the "Change with Buttons" setting on the iPad under Sounds.

Go to iPad > Settings > Sounds > Under Ringer and Alerts > Change with Buttons is enabled (green).

If you still have trouble, would you mind providing a bit more info?

  • What speaker device are you connected to when this happens? Make and model?
  • Does this only happen with Pandora?
  • Are you able to visit a site like YouTube and use the iPad volume control?

Let me know. 🎧
