Let me start by saying I am beyond frustrated and over this issue, and that this issue has been going on for months, as well as happening to my best friend, so I know it's not just my app needing an update, nor my phone. The issue is that we'll be listening to Pandora, and go to skip or pause a song, and Pandora will break. For example, I'll be listening on my phone, doesn't matter if it's with or without any Bluetooth device connected, and I'll go to either skip a song or pause the music, and nothing happens. I'll go to the app, and the pause, skip, go back buttons are grayed out, as though it's like frozen. This will happen MULTIPLE times, regardless of station, song, how many times I skip through songs, how many times I shut the app/force stop the app and reopen it. Sometimes, this will happen immediately after "fixing" the issue, and I'm done. I'm not going to pay for a music app that can't do it's one job, which is to constantly stream music, and no. It's not because an ad pops up, because I have Pandora premium, which I'll be dropping and I'll put up with ads if it means not having to constantly have the app open just to be able to use it like it should.
